Life With Jesus

Mark 7:24-30

24 Jesus left that place and went to the vicinity of Tyre. He entered a house and did not want anyone to know it; yet he could not keep his presence secret. 25 In fact, as soon as she heard about him, a woman whose little daughter was possessed by an impure spirit came and fell at his feet.

First, go and read this full passage. Now that you have read the whole passage, reflect on a couple of things. Can you recall a time when you didn’t want anyone to know where you were so you could have a little time alone? Have you ever been like this woman, so inspired/intrigued/compelled by the knowledge of someone that you wanted to just be in their presence? In either of those times what had your attention? Was it a person, activities on your calendar, conflict in your life? Have you ever just wanted to be alone with Jesus? Have you ever just wanted to be in the presence of God because you were so inspired/intrigued/compelled but what you were learning about him? Might you find yourself set free from all that holds you if you gave God that kind of attention and trust?
