Remember Your Baptism

Ephesians 4:4-6

There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called to one hope when you were called; one Lord, one faith, one baptism; one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all.

As United Methodist’s we believe that there is one baptism. Even if you were baptized in another denomination it is most likely recognized here. Again, this is an act of God. This is also why we do not believe in re-baptizing. We remember our baptism. God is the one who works in baptism. That leaves no room for error or confusion. We give thanks for the baptism we have received as we are welcomed into the family of God and rejoice in remembering how God called us by name and welcomed us into the family.
