5 Now when Jesus saw the crowds, he went up on a mountainside and sat down. His disciples came to him, and he began to teach them.
He said:
6 “Blessed are the poor in spirit,
for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Before you read any further, turn in your bible to read this passage completely. This week we are looking at some of the life of Jesus as we get closer to Holy Week. Do you think of yourself as blessed? After reading this passage how do you feel? Jesus certainly does turn things upside down. In these verses he gives a different outlook for those listening. How might you allow your attitude to reflect more this way of thinking and living like Christ?
