Therefore we were buried with him by baptism into death, so that, just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, so we also might walk in newness of life.
Another thing about baptism is that we believe there is a death to our old life and rising from the water we are raised to new life. We experience those mercies new every morning. Do you walk in new life every day? That can be easier said than done. We can find ourselves in constant brain loops of what we’ve said or done that have hurt or offended others. Perhaps we have pondered for decades how a certain conversation or interaction could have been different. God gives us this grace to live into every day that says we do not need to be overwhelmed by our past but can live in newness every day. You get to make that choice. God holds the power, you get to live into it. Claim that power in your life even today and live into every day to come.
