Love & Joy – Rev. Allan Brooks – John 15:9-12

Love one another. A simple enough command, yet we all know how difficult this action can be; especially when Jesus follows up with “Love each other as I have loved you.” To love as Jesus loved us is to love sacrificially, and is even harder for the vast majority of us. And yet, we get a glimpse of this love expressed in random acts of kindness, heroism or in people freely helping others. In keeping this kind of love, Jesus promises his joy that our joy may be made complete. This love and joy is in our service, it is in how we operate as a church body, it is in our ministry. Let us never cease our service, continually sharing the love and joy of Christ, a love that can change the world.
