Jars of Clay – Rev. Allan Brooks – 2 Corinthians 4:6-9

Jars of clay, human vessels, containing the knowledge of God’s glory and conduits of the Holy Spirit. We are fragile and improper containers for this gift from God, prone to breaking; prone to getting things wrong. And yet, herein lies one of the great mysteries of God, that we should be the perfect vessels for this gift, to the magnification of God’s glory. This is the beauty of the church. Imperfect? Yes. But, chosen and used for the glory of God’s design.
