Eyes to See the Father’s Work – Dr. Rev. Mark Ongley – John 5:1-20

Where do you see God at work? This sounds like a simple enough question, but how many of us can readily give an answer. Sometimes we become so consumed with tradition or what we consider to be proper, that we completely miss what God is doing. In this weeks scripture lesson, the pharisees are so taken back by a man carrying a mat on the sabbath, that they completely miss the wonder of his healing at Jesus hands. Instead, they ridicule this man and persecute Jesus for healing someone on the sabbath. There can be a little pharisee in all of us, but God, allow us be more like Jesus. Give us eyes to see the father’s work, and joyfully join you in it. Amen.
