What is Happening to Us_ – Rev. Allan Brooks – Romans 5:1-5
Series: Pentecost
Times are difficult and it is natural to feel uncertain about where we will end up when all of this is over, but do not allow fear to overtake you for we are given a great opportunity in the midst of suffering. As Paul expounds in the Book of Romans; "suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope." Much in the same vein of being able to learn from our mistakes, we are able to grow and become better people through suffering; not by our own power but through the Holy Spirit "who has been given to us." As we navigate the difficulties of life and the complexity of this present time, dig deep into the Holy Spirit and know God's love, that in the midst of suffering you may persevere and produce hope. Let faith and hope arise, especially in these difficult times, that we may all make it through to where God is leading us.

Tickled Pink – Being Content in All Things – Rev. Tai Courtemanche – Philippians 4:11-13
    Series: Pentecost
Paul, in his letter to the church in Philippi, expressed gratitude for their concerns and gifts as he travels and shares the gospel. In this statement of thanksgiving, Paul exclaims that he has found contentment in every situation; whether in need or want, hungry or satisfied, "all this through Him who gives me strength." Paul has found peace and contentment by the grace and strength of Christ, enough to face every situation.

Live each day as a child of God, embody the name and identity He has given you and show God's love to others, that they may come to know the One who seeks to adopt them too.

As we read from Romans this week, Pastor Allan reminds us of the importance of hope, the help we get from the Holy Spirit and the strength we have as conquerors in Christ; a strength to overcome everything that stands against us, for nothing can "separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord."

Way Up The Hill – Rev. Allan Brooks – Matthew 14: 13-21
    Series: Pentecost
When was the last time you witnessed God work a miracle? Better question, when was the last time you were aware of God at work around you? Most of the time we only see what God has done, or recognize His action as miraculous, well after the fact. This week we look at Matthew 14, when Jesus feeds the gathering of five thousand. We see this event as a miracle, but have you ever wondered how many people there had no idea what was going on? Pastor Allan discusses how most people only see things happening around them at face value and tend to miss God at work.

    It’s Pentecost – Rev. Tai Courtemanche – Acts 2:1-21
    Series: Pentecost
This is the weekend where we celebrate the gift of the Holy Spirit to the church, the advocate that Jesus mentioned before He ascended. We celebrate the Spirit of God that moves around and through us, guiding those who will listen and empowering us for the work of God's Kingdom. This is the time recorded in the Bible when the Apostles received the Holy Spirit, were empowered and began speaking in tongues, and 5,000 people heard the good news of Jesus. What a wonderful time to celebrate the empowering and unification of God's people through His Spirit.
