Fellowship Groups
Young at Heart:
The Young at Heart Lunch Club is a social group for seniors and
retirees. The original concept was to get people together for a time
of fun, food, and fellowship. Since its kickoff, they have added
new members and the interests have expanded. The members meet once
a month at a local restaurant or for catered dinners in Fellowship
Hall with scheduled programs such as musical entertainment. Everyone
is invited to attend this group, both in the church and in the
community. There is no cost to register. Each member is responsible
for their check when dining out and for the nominal cost per person
for catering when held here at the church fellowship hall. Call the
church office for information or watch the bulletin and The Steeple
for dates and times of upcoming events.
Connections Supper Club:
Connections Supper Club is a social group for singles and couples
targeted for the over thirty crowd. Its premise is to connect with
old and new friends in the CUMC community of faith. We welcome
members of the community who would like to attend and see this and
all of our functions as a way to reach out to residents in the area,
both churched and un-churched.
There is no cost to register. Each individual/couple is responsible
for their check when dining out. There is a catering cost per
person for the theme parties, but it is kept at a reasonable rate.
Call the church office if you would like to join this group.
Singled
Out: If you are a single adult and would like to join with
other singles for fun and fellowship, call our Director of Adult &
Family Ministry, Joyce Davison in the church office. We are a new
group and are looking for ideas and members to take part in this
social group. If you have been sitting on the fence, not sure
whether to sign up, this is your opportunity to jump off and jump
in. This is not a dating club, but a fellowship club. We will be
planning an outing soon to get everyone together.
We hope to have you join us
whether you are a church member or a member of the community. All
are welcome!!!
Out for the Night: For the 20-30 year old, (couples or
singles). This is an activity-driven club. Watch bulletin for
information.
Men’s Community Brunch: Second Sunday of each
month-9:30am-12:30pm
